That's right, eighty cents for a ten dollar restaurant certificate. I successfully did this yesterday.
Restaurant.com has a new 80% off code "COOK" available. The $25 gift certificates are normally $10 or $15 depending on the restaurant, but are $2, $3 or $4 with the code. They also sell $10 certificates for $4 making them 80 cents each with the code.
Please read the small print before purchasing. They usually limit the application of the certificate to food only (not alcohol, taxes or tips). Only one certificates per table or group per visit, per night. But, it's still a great deal.
This is said to work all over the continental US.
Note that some of the restaurants limit the number of certificates per month. They start out with new offerings each month on a firs come, first served basis. Once they are gone, a message goes up by their restaurant name and you can not purchase from them until the following month.
They code will expire and a new one used, but I do not know the frequency of change. If the code does not work, you can click on Slickdeals.net. This is where I find the code to this site and many others.
They will bill through VISA, Master Card, or my most favorite way of online billing; PayPal.
I hope that this works to your advantage and either allows you to save a few bucks and/or eat a little better using your same budgeted money.
